WYOMING CONSIDERING LONG-RANGE HUNTING RESTRICTIONS AMID ETHICAL DEBATE
A long debated topic in the outdoors community always has been (and likely always will be) long-range shot capabilities among hunters. While there is no doubt that some among us can place incredibly accurate shots at astonishing distances, the question remains whether or not we should when pursuing wild game.
In the great state of Wyoming, a growing debate over the ethics of long-range hunting has prompted discussions about potential regulations to limit shot distances. Sparked in part by a controversial 2018 incident where a hunter killed an antelope from 1,954 yards, the issue has raised concerns about fair chase, public perception, and the impact of advanced technology on hunting traditions.
Rep. McKay Erickson, who initiated the discussion following the antelope kill, emphasized the importance of "fair chase," a principle that ensures animals have a reasonable chance to evade huntersā¦

Hunting and pollinators: Unexpected connection: When you think about what supports strong game populations - deer, waterfowl, turkey, quail and other prized wildlife - you might picture food plots, water sources or predator management. COLORADO CAMPSITE BANS TENTS AFTER BEAR CLAWS AT ONE WITH KIDS SLEEPING INSIDE
A hair-raising incident that has thankfully left two children unharmed has resulted in a swift response by the U.S. Forest Service in Colorado. During a camping trip last week at Difficult Campground, just south of Aspen, Colorado, a pair of children had a midnight encounter with a black bear that left both their family and officials shaken.
The incident, which occurred at night in the White River National Forest, involved a bear scratching a tent with two children inside, leaving puncture marks but causing no injuries. According to reports, the childrenās parents were sleeping in a separate tent beside them and were unaware of the encounter until the next morning when the children reported what had happenedā¦

Skinless hotdogs, you wonāt believe itās ground beef and a few other shameless meat-inspired ads from back in the day. Alright, explain this to me like Iām a 5-year-old: why is it that we say āelevenā and ātwelveā instead of āoneteenā and ātwoteenā? At some popular tourist spots around the world, the locals are actually starting to enforce fines to influencers and the like who are hanging around a bit too long trying to get the perfect shot. This should be a good reminder to all of us that weāll probably never truly look at each of the 438 pictures you took at the Taj Mahal. For the love of God, put the camera down and enjoy the moment. In an effort to consume less soda (Iām a certified Diet Coke addict), I found that my local Publix is selling Mexican Coke in a glass bottle. I picked up two bottles and made them last an entire week, enjoying every sip. Thereās just something about caramel-colored soda being poured out of an ice-cold bottle that makes me feel a little nostalgic. Plus, itās made with cane sugar rather than that high-fructose corn syrup that is slowly killing us all like an unstoppable rebel force.
