YELLOWSTONE’S 2025 GRIZZLY BEAR CAPTURE OPERATION KICKS OFF THIS WEEK
Every year, Yellowstone National Park serves as a critical hub for wildlife conservation, with the grizzly bear population at the heart of these efforts. Kicking off this week, the Interagency Grizzly Bear Study Team, led by the U.S. Geological Survey in collaboration with the National Park Service, will conduct its annual grizzly bear capture and monitoring operations between now and October 15th. This routine yet essential program supports the recovery of grizzly bears under the Endangered Species Act, ensuring the long-term health of this iconic species in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
The primary goal of the annual grizzly bear monitoring operation is to collect data on the population, health, and movements of grizzly bears. By capturing and studying these animals, researchers gain insights into population dynamics, bear health, reproductive rates and habitat use across the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
These efforts are critical for maintaining the grizzly bear’s recovery, especially during a time when calls for delisting continue to grow in popularity…

WANDERINGS // A SFW GLIMPSE OF OUR BROWSER HISTORY
Perhaps it was my previous geographical location, but prior to living down here in sunny Florida, I didn’t know many Philly fans or (former) residents. For the most part, they’re great people and they love their damn Eagles. But what they might not tell you though, is that Philly is a closet squash stronghold and has been for like 125 years. I don’t watch a ton of TV, but I agree that Ross from Friends, Nellie from Little House on the Prairie and Will Ferrell’s character on The Office all belong on this list of the most hated characters in TV history. Heard of the tinned fish trend? Ya, me either. And finally something I think we can all agree on: The best things you can teach your children are in the wild.
