Wisconsin Woman Responsible for Heinously Killing Over 100 Deer Convicted for Her Crimes

Following this crazy story out of Wisconsin, a 37-year-old woman has pleaded guilty for her leadership role that led to the painful and often torturous death of over 100 deer across three Dairyland counties.
As was reported back in October, a group of juveniles and their female leader, Jessica Kroening, were implicated in a poaching case the local sheriff referred to at the time as “Senseless. Reckless and Indiscriminate.”
The crimes took place in Fond du Lac, Washington and Dodge counties between the spring of 2023 and the summer of 2024. According to reports, 37-year-old Jessican Kroening and her 16-year-old juvenile companions would ride around in their car looking for deer to hit. The band of illegal shooters would spotlight those they couldn’t target with their vehicle, shooting any they saw alongside the road.
Any of the animals that they ended up gunning down with the rifle or the car were typically left to rot, with the exception of bucks, whose heads would be removed as a trophy. As for the deer that survived any collisions with their car, they would sometimes allow the animal to continue suffering and use it as a source of deranged entertainment for themselves.

In one incident, the Sheriff’s Office reported that the juveniles wounded a deer with their car before loading it in their trunk and proceeding to take selfies and video with the deer in various locations. One of the disturbing videos even depicted the suspects holding the still-alive deer that was clearly suffering, while parading it around the inside of their home. The deer eventually succumbed to its wounds and died while in their possession.
The accused, Jessica Kroening was back in the Washington County Courthouse on Tuesday where a plea agreement was reached. There she entered guilty pleas to two charges including intentionally contributing to the delinquency of a child and illegal shining of deer, elk, or bear as party to a crime.
She is now staring down the potential of upwards of 15 months in prison for her actions along with a possible $12,000 worth of fines.
A third charge of resisting a Conservation Warden was dismissed as part of the plea deal but will be read during her upcoming sentencing hearing scheduled for early May.
