SAD NEWS OUT OF SOUTH CAROLINA
13-YEAR-OLD KILLED IN TRAGIC FRIENDLY FIRE HUNTING ACCIDENT

In an incredibly unfortunate turn of events, a friendly hunting trip has turned tragic after the unimaginable happened.

Setting out into the woods with his best friend to chase squirrels, 13-year-old Cameron Connor was accidentally shot and killed by his companion.  According to a post by the South Carolina DNR, details are few and far between at the moment. What we do know is the boys set out on Sunday afternoon on a piece of private property to hunt squirrels when one boy shot the other in what is being labeled as a ‘hunting accident’.

“This is an ongoing investigation, and we will update as we’re able,” the DNR said. “Our thoughts are with the boy’s family and loved ones.”

The deceased was an eighth grader at Dorchester Academy in St. George, SC who was a pitcher for the private schools baseball team and a consistent target for the school’s quarterback when lining up as a tight end for the school’s football team...
